Most writers that enter screenplay contests just want to see their work on the big screen. Getting paid would be nice and we'd all like to make a living doing what we love.
But there are many great screenplays out there that sit on shelves collecting dust because screenwriters have no way to get them made. They dont even know where to start. That's where we can help.
We have experience creating films with little to no money. And we are giving you that information for free. Whether you enter the contest or not we want to help out our fellow independent filmmakers/writers.
If you find making an entire film on your own too daunting of a task you can always use the money to create a TEASER TRAILER for your film. So you can show agents or potential investors what the movie would look like if you had a much bigger budget.
Its also something that you can now package with your script to send to agents. An agent is much more likely to take a look at a 5-10 minute trailer to see if they are interested in your film then take an hour or two to read your screenplay.
Don't be fooled by screenplay contests offering to send your logline to hundreds of agents and production companies.
Take a closer look at the success stories on their pages. Look up their films on IMDB. See if they are even getting made! Or if the agencies are even legit.
Most times they just use e-query services to send your logline and title to agencies and production companies. Something you can do on your own for $85.
